What it does
compute_lehota computes the last day of a Slovak civil-procedure deadline (lehota) from the facts of one electronic delivery — an elektronická doručenka under § 32 zák. č. 305/2013 Z. z. — and returns every counting step with its statutory citation.
It is a verifier, not an oracle: the arithmetic is fully deterministic (no language model, no database, no case data — the same engine LEXOMA's own deadline safety net uses), so the calling AI can check a date rather than be told one.
Like every tool in this connector, it is read-only, covers Slovak law only, and its output is informational, not legal advice.
Inputs
| Name | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
ulozenie | datetime | Yes | When the message became uložená (§ 32 ods. 1). ISO-8601 with a UTC offset — a timestamp without a timezone is refused. |
do_vlastnych_ruk | boolean | Yes | Whether the message was addressed into the addressee's own hands (which § 32 ods. 5 regime applies). |
potvrdenie_dorucenky | datetime | No | The doručenka confirmation timestamp, if the addressee confirmed. Only meaningful when do_vlastnych_ruk is true. Same timezone rule. |
uloznu_lehotu_dni | int | No | The úložná lehota (§ 32 ods. 2). Default 15; 1–60. |
rule_id | string | One of | A catalogue id for a lehota whose length the statute fixes — see The rule catalogue below. |
pocet_dni | int | One of | A court-set lehota length in days (1–365). Give exactly one of rule_id / pocet_dni; both or neither is refused with a question. |

The text the calling AI sees carries the same information: the last day in bold, the numbered steps each ending with its citation, and one fixed line stating that the count assumes the electronic delivery regime of zák. č. 305/2013 and that a paper doručenka or a court-set lehota needs the advocate's own check.
Zero false greens
An unknown rule_id never produces a date. The tool returns znama_lehota: false, posledny_den: null, an empty kroky, and the catalogue of known rules in rules_available so the calling AI can retry with an id the engine actually knows — it does not pick the nearest match, and it does not guess a length.
The same discipline applies to the inputs: a timestamp without a timezone, a pocet_dni outside its bound, or a delivery dated before the holiday calendar the engine counts against (zák. č. 241/1993 Z. z.) is refused with a question, never silently normalised.
The rule catalogue
The catalogue holds lehoty whose length the statute itself fixes. Today it has three entries:
rule_id | Days | Citation | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
csp_odvolanie | 15 | § 362 ods. 1 CSP | The lehota to file an odvolanie, running from delivery of the decision. |
csp_odpor_platobny_rozkaz | 15 | § 265 ods. 1 CSP | The lehota to file an odpor against a platobný rozkaz, running from its delivery to the defendant. |
csp_staznost | 15 | § 242 CSP | The lehota to file a sťažnosť against a first-instance uznesenie issued by a court officer, running from delivery. |
A court-set lehota is not a catalogue entry — pass its length as pocet_dni. Rules are added as data, each verified against the current statute text before it is trusted; the counting arithmetic (§ 121 ods. 2 and 4 CSP, § 32 ods. 5 and 9 zák. č. 305/2013) is shared by every rule and by the pocet_dni path.
The live catalogue is also served as the MCP resource lexoma://lehoty/rules (text/markdown, rendered from the engine's registry on every read), so a host can list the accepted rule_id values without spending a failed tool call on an unknown id.
Example
A decision was uložená in the advocate's electronic mailbox on Thursday 5 March 2026 at 10:00 Bratislava time, into his own hands, and he confirmed the doručenka the same afternoon. The calling AI asks compute_lehota with ulozenie: "2026-03-05T10:00:00+01:00", do_vlastnych_ruk: true, potvrdenie_dorucenky: "2026-03-05T14:30:00+01:00", rule_id: "csp_odvolanie" and gets back 2026-03-20: delivery on 5 March (§ 32 ods. 5), day 1 on 6 March (§ 121 ods. 2), day 15 on 20 March — a Friday, so no shift under § 121 ods. 4.
Had he confirmed the next morning instead, day 15 would land on Saturday 21 March and shift to Monday 23 March (§ 121 ods. 4) — and the response says so in its last step.
Notes
- Deterministic — debits your monthly corpus quota (see Usage limits).
- Models day-counted lehoty only (§ 121 ods. 2 and 4 CSP). Lehoty set in weeks, months or years (§ 121 ods. 3) are not computed.
- Models the electronic delivery regime only. A paper doručenka is outside this tool.
- Does not issue a provenance receipt, so its result cannot be passed to Verify answer's
receiptsinput.
