    Judicial interpretation

    What it does

    get_interpretation retrieves the most recent court decisions citing a given Slovak legislation provision — useful for seeing how a paragraf has actually been interpreted and applied by the courts.

    Like every tool in this connector, it is read-only, covers Slovak law only, and its output is informational, not legal advice.

    Inputs

    NameTypeRequiredDescription
    regulation_numberstringYesThe regulation, in canonical form (513/1991 Zb. / 311/2001 Z. z.) or bare (513/1991).
    sectionstringNoThe section (paragraf) to narrow the search to.
    paragraphstringNoThe paragraph (odsek) to narrow the search to.
    limitintNoPage size. Default 20, max 200.
    offsetintNoPage start, in the same most-recent-first order. Default 0, max 1000.
    outcomesboolNoOpt in to the outcome distribution (below). Default false — the response is unchanged.
    courtstringNoNarrows the outcome distribution to one court — a case-insensitive substring of the court name (e.g. Žilina). Needs outcomes: true; refused otherwise.

    Returns

    {
      "regulation_number": "...",
      "section": "...",
      "paragraph": "...",
      "offset": 0,
      "limit": 20,
      "truncated": true,
      "next_offset": 20,
      "citing_decisions": [
        {
          "document_content_id": "...",
          "case_file_number": "...",
          "release_date": "...",
          "ecli": "...",
          "courts": "...",
          "areas": "..."
        }
      ]
    }

    truncated: true means more citing decisions exist beyond this page — treat the list as partial and never infer that a decision is absent from the corpus; continue with offset: next_offset. ecli is null when the corpus holds no ECLI for the decision (never an empty string); case_file_number is always present and is the anchor to verify against.

    Outcome distribution (outcomes: true)

    With outcomes: true the result additionally carries outcomes — how courts decide the provision, computed over all citing decisions (not just the page), and the text content opens with a Slovak card in this shape:

    Žilina, 513/1991 § 560 — 29 citujúcich rozhodnutí (2019–2026), z toho 23 s vyhodnoteným výsledkom sporu. Žalobca úspešný v 65 % (n = 23) · čiastočne 9 % · žalovaný 26 % · nikto 0 %. Podľa zastúpenia žalobcu: so zástupcom 86 % (n = 14) · bez zástupcu — nedostatok dát pre spoľahlivý záver · … Rozpad na senát sa neponúka — K35.

        "n_total": 23,
        "n_default_judgments_excluded": 2,
        "n_without_outcome": 4,
        "period": { "from_year": 2019, "to_year": 2026 },

          ] }
        ],
        "notice": "Rozpad na senát sa neponúka — K35."
      }
    }

    • The primary axis is the case, not the forum: splits by the claimant's legal representation, instance, procedure type and claim-size band (< 2 000 €, 2 000 – 10 000 €, > 10 000 €). Evidence posture and a pre-action written notice are not in the extraction schema and are therefore not offered.
    • Two gates, per cell. A cell is served only when it holds at least 10 decisions (provisional) and those decisions span at least 3 distinct súdne oddelenia (counted from the sp. zn. prefixes). A cell failing either gate reads exactly nedostatok dát pre spoľahlivý záver with no n — and it never says which gate closed.
    • The court is the finest axis. court is a filter you choose; no breakdown by senát, oddelenie or judge exists in any field, by construction (K35).
    • Every served number carries its n. Percentages in the card are derived from counts and n; the structured payload carries counts only.
    • Default judgments (rozsudky pre zmeškanie) are excluded from the base and reported in n_default_judgments_excluded; citing decisions with no outcome extract, or whose procedure has no prevailing party (mimosporové), are reported in n_without_outcome.

    Example

    Useful when the calling AI wants to answer a question like "how have courts applied § 63 of the Labour Code?" — it calls get_interpretation with regulation_number: "311/2001 Z. z." and section: "63", and gets back the most recent decisions citing that provision, each identified by its document_content_id and case_file_number (and ecli where the corpus holds one).

    Notes

    • Deterministic — debits your monthly corpus quota (see Usage limits).
    • Does not return interpretive maxims (R-vety) in this version.
    • Does not issue a provenance receipt, so its results cannot be passed to Verify answer's receipts input.
