Lexomat MCP connector
A Slovak legal research connector for Claude and ChatGPT — grounded, cited answers from primary Slovak legal sources, without leaving the conversation.
All eight tools are read-only. None of them writes, changes, or deletes anything in your Lexomat account.
How to connect
The server address is the same for everyone. There is nothing to install, and no software runs on your machine.
Server URL

- Open Customize → Connectors.
- Click +, then Add custom connector.
- Paste the server URL above as the remote MCP server URL.
- Leave the OAuth Client ID and Client Secret blank, under Advanced settings.
- Confirm. Claude sends you to the Lexomat sign-in page; once you're signed in, the connector is active.
On a Team or Enterprise account, an owner adds it once under Organization settings → Connectors → Add → Custom → Web. Members then connect individually and sign in with their own Lexomat account.
In ChatGPT
- Open Settings → Security and login, and turn on Developer mode.
- In plugin settings, use + to add a remote MCP server.
- Enter the server URL above and choose OAuth as the authentication method.
- Leave the client ID and client secret blank.
- Save, then sign in with your Lexomat account when prompted.
Menu labels move between ChatGPT releases — look for the option to add a remote MCP server by URL.
Authentication
Sign-in uses OAuth 2.1 with PKCE. Lexomat's authentication service acts as the authorization server; the connector verifies your token on every request and never sees your password.
The connector supports dynamic client registration (RFC 7591): the assistant registers itself automatically the moment you add it. There is no client ID or client secret to obtain — leave both fields blank.
A "couldn't register with Lexomat's sign-in service" error does not mean a credential is missing. It means the client could not reach the server — check that the URL is exactly the one above, with no trailing path or space, and try again.
The eight tools
The assistant picks a tool on its own, based on what you ask — you don't call them by name. All eight are read-only.
Routes a natural-language Slovak legal question through the full research pipeline and returns a grounded, cited answer together with its sources.
The only tool that draws on your research allowance, exactly like a question asked in Lexomat's own chat. The other seven do not.
Searches Slovak legislation by natural-language query and returns citation-ready results, each with a title and a link to the official source.
The same search, restricted to decisions of Slovak courts.
Retrieves the text of a specific section (paragraf) of a named law, by name or regulation number — optionally as it read on a given date.
Given a regulation number, returns the most recent court decisions on record that cite that provision.
Re-orders a list of decisions the assistant already holds by the authority of the deciding court, and returns the multiplier table it applied.
Checks whether a citation resolves to an exact document in the corpus, and — for legislation — whether it is still current law.
Checks every citation-shaped string in a drafted answer against the corpus, so a fabricated case number or regulation number is caught before it reaches you.
Access
Using the connector requires a Lexomat account with MCP access enabled.
A 14-day trial starts the moment you sign up.
If MCP access isn't enabled for your account, every tool returns the same message instead of performing research: "Remote MCP access is not part of this Lexomat account."
MCP access is included on the plans that carry it — it isn't available on every tier. What each plan includes lives on the pricing page.
Data handling
The connector follows the same handling rules as the rest of Lexomat.
Your data is processed in the EU.
Your data is never used to train AI models.
Query content tied to your account is retained for 180 days, then redacted.
Every tool reaches only the public legal corpus — legislation and case law. No tool can read your Spis, client files, or any document you've stored in Lexomat.
When something goes wrong
- "Couldn't register with Lexomat's sign-in service"
- The client couldn't reach the server. Check the URL; don't fill in the credential fields.
- "Remote MCP access is not part of this Lexomat account"
- Your plan doesn't currently include MCP access. Check your account settings, or write to us.
- "You have reached your Lexomat usage limit"
- The research tool has run out of allowance for the period. Search, provision lookup, and citation checks keep working — they don't draw on it.
- The assistant doesn't offer the tools at all
- Confirm the connector shows as connected and that you completed the Lexomat sign-in. Some assistants need the connector enabled per conversation.
- How do I disconnect it or revoke access?
- Remove the connector in your assistant's own settings — in Claude under Connectors, in ChatGPT under the connector's entry. That revokes the access token it holds. Removing the connector does not close your Lexomat account; to delete the account and its data, use your Lexomat account settings.
